Piano Lessons

…their motivational and encouraging approach has helped me progress so much over the past year!

Christopher Flynn

Your door to music, wide open

If you ask 100 musicians what they think the best base instrument for understanding, playing, and creating music is, you’ll likely get the same answer: Piano.

The barrier to entry is low (just press the button, and music happens), and it’s a perfect VISUAL representation of music theory. What this basically means is, young or old, if you want to start exploring your connection with music, or begin your child’s, totally transforming the way they HEAR, SING and even PLAY, piano is a very, very good start.

It’s versatility comes with it’s own problems though; there’s so many ways to play it, which means there’s so many ways to TEACH it. So how do you find the right way for you or your child?

At TMS, we believe the answer is surprisingly simple:

  1. Identify you/your child’s goals

  2. Understand and communicate the steps to achieve those goals; and

  3. Break those steps down into such perfect, tiny pieces, that you will (almost helplessly) succeed, spinning the flywheel of your musical mastery, launching you into a world where you feel armed to explore the instrument in your own time, play what you always wanted to play, and CREATE your own pieces of art on a wide open musical tapestry.

We know, it sounds pretty good. Happily, that’s the feedback we keep getting, and we owe a lot of our success as a music school to our belief in that methodology.

But don’t take our word for it.
